Jean-Christoph "Schowi" Ritter, born in '74, loves music. MC & co-founder of pioneer german hiphop group "Massive Töne", founded in '91, released 4 albums, lots of singles & videos, won several awards - sold over half a million records in Germany, Switzerland & Austria.
He recorded collabo tracks with I AM (Marseille), Shabazz The Disciple (Gravediggaz), Arsonists (NYC), Blahzay Blahzay (East New York), Fatman Scoop (NYC), Tairo (Paris), Dynamic Duo (Seoul, Korea), Ceza (Istanbul, Turkey) and others..
Despite making music with his band "Massive Töne" & running his own music and marketing agency "0711Entertainment" Schowi has always been a passionate DJ, collecting thousands of records since 86' - loving all kinds of funky & bass heavy booty shaking club music - hiphop, disco, funk, baile funk, miami bass, baltimore club, ghettotech & electronic club music, house, electro, nu & old rave.
His actual project is called BASS ILL EURO. Together with DJ Passion he produces club bangers that exactly represent his definition of club sound in the year 2009. Their N.E.R.D juke remix of “Everyone Nose” got big support and airplay on Sinden’s Show on Kiss London and on Annie Macs Show on BBC 1.
Schowi is known for his unique ability to "read the crowd" and to build an innovative set that never looses tension. His sets are eclectic, energetic and well-selected, satisfying both party people and music connaisseurs. These skills made him a much sought-after DJ, holding residencies in some of germany's most reknown clubs as well as being booked to play some of the most prestigious corporate, society and after-show parties.
